Jeremiah LANHAM ^{[1] [2]} was born about 1755 in ,Prince Georges, Maryland. He died in , Madison, Kentucky, USA.

Jeremiah married Barbara BENCE ^{[3] [4]} daughter of Elizabeth BENCE about 1772. Barbara was born about 1759 in Bladeburg, Maryland.

He was listed in the 1790, census with a family consisting of himself and one other free white male of 16 years and upward, four free white females, including wife and six slaves.

Jeremiah appears in the 1810 Census in Fredrick county, Virginia, pg. 717 as a male over 45 years old. At this census, he has five sons, five daughters, and six slaves. He was in Lewis County, West Virginia in 1815. ^[5]

The 1820 Census of Lewis County, Virginia shows Jeremiah with five sons and four daughters.

The 1830 Census of Lewis County, Virginia shows Jeremiah between 60-70 years of age which would place his birth between 1750 and 1760.
