Margaret married ^[4] Isaac ELAM on 19 Nov 1828 in ,Morgan , Illinois, USA. Issac was born on 02 Jun 1803 in , Warren, Kentucky, USA. He is the son of Jesse ELAM born about 1782 in Georgia and died 1 Sep 1854 in Dallas, Texas and Rosa EVANS born about 1782 in Virginia and died about 1869 in Dallas, Texas. Issac died on 26 Nov 1873 in , Dallas, Texas, USA.

They had the following children:

(i.) Daughter, Nancy Parilee ELAM was born in 1830 in ,,Illinois, USA. She died in , Dallas, Texas. Nancy married ^[5] Benjamin Franklin BETHUREM ^[6] in 1849. She is buried in the Elam family cemetery, Dallas TX.

(ii.) Daughter, Narcissa ELAM was born about 1832 in Benton, Scott, Missouri. Narcissa married Joseph COX.

(iii.) Son, Benjamin Franklin ELAM was born on 06 Oct 1834 in Near Menden, Adams, Illinois. He was a Confederate soldier during the War between the States. He served in the Civil War with the confederacy. Texas 4, Cpl. 13 Brig. Scyene Co. CSA. He died on 2 Feb 1899 in Elam Station, Dallas, Texas. He was buried in Pleasant Mound Cemetery, Dallas, Dallas, Texas. Benjamin married (1) Angelina MOORE on 14 Jun 1855. Angelina was buried in Pleasant Mound Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. Benjamin married (2) ^[6] Katherine JONES. ^[6].

(iv.) Daughter, Calfirna Jane ELAM was born in 1839 in Mendon, Adams, Illinois, USA. Calfirna married (1) Money WEATHERFORD.

(v.) Daughter, Mary Frances ELAM was born in 1843 in Benton, Scott, Missouri. She died in Mesquite, Dallas, Texas, USA. Mary married (1) Alfred SUMMERS.

(vi.) Daughter, Drucilla ELAM was born in 1844 in Benton, Scott, Missouri. Drucilla married Christopher COX.

(vii.) Daughter, Margaret Matilda ELAM was born in 1845 in Benton, Scott , Missouri, USA. She died in 1923. She was buried in Pleasant Mound Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. She was blinded by accident in childhood.

(viii.) Daughter, Martha Adeline ELAM was born on 27 Sep 1845 in Benton, Scott, Missouri, USA. She died on 21 Jan 1932 in Dallas, Dallas, Texas, USA. Martha married (1) Joseph H. PRATT. Martha married (2) William C. SLAGLE. ^[6]

(ix.) Son, Thomas Benton ELAM was born in 1848 in , Dallas, Texas. Thomas married (1) Bettie WADE. He was a Confederate Soldier. He was in 1900 census, Dallas County and again in 1910. Children were on Austin census. Bettie Wade died in Austin 1916.

(x.) Son, William Curtis ELAM was born in 1838 in Benton, Scott, Illinois. William married (1) ^[6] Mary Jane JOHNSON. William was a Confederate Soldier.
