Edward Lanham was born ca 1685, in Kent County, the son of Josias Lanham, II and Barbara Ringgold.

Edward married (1), Asenath. She was born before 1710.

Their children were:

(i.) Son, John Lanham, born 30 December 1722, died young.

(ii.) Son, Notley, born 11 Oct 1724, died young 1783.

(iii.) Daughter, Mary, born 29 Jan 1726, married a Martin.

(iv.) Son, Josias, born 2 Sep 1729

(v.) Daughter, Susannah, born 7 may 1731. Married an Achason.

(vi.) Son, Edward, born 28 Feb 1733/34

(vii.) Daughter, Sarah, born 9 may 1735

Edward married number two wife (2), Susanna.

They had the following children:

(viii.) Son, Richard, born 16 July 1737. died young.

(ix.) Daughter, Rachel, born 10 may 1739, married a Richard Bryan.

Edward married wife number three (3), Catherine.

They had the following children:

(x.) Daugher, Bersheba

(xi.) Son, Edward, born 18 Aug 1762

(xii.) Son, Robert Poore, born 14 July 1765.
