Perry Rufus JONES was born on 29 Oct 1915 in Texas, Heard, Georgia, USA. He died on 11 Sep 1965 in Roanoke, Randolph, Alabama, USA. He was buried in Roanoke, Randolph, Alabama. ^[1]

Perry attended school in Roanoke, Alabama. ^[2] When he graduated high school, he wanted to go to Georgia Tech University, but he was $500 short and could not attend college. ^[3] His first job was at a gas station. He was later was employed with the Alabama Power Co.

Perry was an electrician, lineman and appliance repairman for the Alabama Power Company for over 30 years. On Sept. 11, 1965, while working on an assumed dead power line Perry was electrocuted and died at the age 49.

Perry married ^[4] Mildred Ruth BAKER daughter of Luther Troup BAKER and Irma Undine HEAD on 22 Nov 1937 in Roanoke, Randolph, Alabama, USA.

Mildred was born on 16 Apr 1919 in Roanoke, Randolph, Alabama, USA. She died on 10 Aug 1986 in Roanoke, Randolph, Alabama, USA. ^[4] ^[3]

They resided in Pell City and Roanoke Alabama most of their lives.

They had the following children:

(ii.) Daughter, Judy Annette JONES was born on 30 May 1947 in Roanoke, Randolph, Alabama, USA. She died on 30 May 1947 in Roanoke, Randolph, Alabama, USA. She was buried in Cedar Wood Cemetery, Roanoke, Alabama, USA. ^[1]

The grave stone photos are from the Cedar Wood Cemetery, Roanoke City Cemetery, Randolph County, Alabama taken in 2010 by Kevin Lanham. Brenda Jones guided Kevin to each grave site.

After Perry died, Mildred ran a beauty shop from her attached garage in Roanoke, AL to support the family.

The births and deaths of the above Jones Family were taken from the Jones Family Bible in Nov 2005 and confirmed with grave stones in 2010 by Kevin Lanham. Brenda Jones of Roanoke, Alabama has the family bible.
