(iii.) Son, Albert Carter BAKER. [15] He was born in Nov 1896. [1] He married Myrtice Chewning, born Aug. 24, 1901 [16] and lived in Roanoke, AL in 1940. [15] They had a son, Dwight, born in 1920. Kevin Lanham remembers meeting "Uncle" Dwight in Roanoke on family visits. Dwight’s obituary states: [17]

BAKER, Luther Dwight ‘Pete’, 85, of Roanoke; b. Sep 17 1920 in Roanoke; d. Jul 31, 2006 at Traylor Nursing Home; survived by his wife, Margaret Denson Baker of Lineville; Veteran of WWII serving in Italy and North Africa; preceded in death by his parents, Albert Carter and Myrtice Chewning Baker; and his first wife, Mae Harris Baker. Myrtis died Oct. 11, 1986 and is buried in the Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke, Randolph, Alabama. Dwight’s wife’s grave stone at Roanoke, Alabama says "Baker, Mae H. Dec 27, 1920 Feb 18, 1986 (Catherine M., d/o Henry F. Harris and Katie Eugene Mitchum; W/o Luther Dwight Baker)"

[11] The 1940 US Census, Alabama, Chambers, Election Precinct 13, 9-32 Election Precinct 13, sheet 5A, shows Cliff Baker as head at 33 yrs old, wife Cenus, 33, son Cliff Jr age 7, Bessie K, sister age 47, Mrs LC Harris (aunt), age 79. This is likely Mattie Harris.

Chise Baker worked as a Carpenter on the 1930 census. He and Ruth were the only ones left in the household in 1930.

18. Cynthia M. Jones remembers Uncle Albert and his siblings. Kevin Lanham verbally confirmed with her on 2012-08-19 and asked if she remembered any of these folks. She said Robert Joe was called, Joe, not Robert. She remembers Aunt Myrtis and Uncle Albert too.
